Amber Balcaen’s spin sparks the big one at Pocono. Screengrab from FS1.

You always hate to see a big crash anytime one takes place, but especially in the instance where it wipes out a handful of small teams. That was the case Friday in the ARCA Menards Series General Tire Delivers 200 at Pocono Raceway.

With 31 laps to go, while exiting the tunnel turn, Amber Balcaen was turned sideways and slid back into the rest of the pack, collecting many others.

Balcaen, Ed Pompa, Andy Jankowiak, and Sean Corr were among those involved.

The massive pileup caused a red flag to be displayed for cleanup.

With this red flag, it is currently in question whether the race will finish due to darkness concerns. The race start was delayed due to track drying after a storm that canceled ARCA qualifying as well as NASCAR Truck Series practice and qualifying earlier in the day.
