Corey LaJoie nearly scored his first-career NASCAR Cup Series win a couple of weeks ago at Atlanta Motor Speedway, but he’s coming into this weekend’s M&M’s Fan Appreciation 400 at Pocono Raceway looking like a world champion.

LaJoie, 30, will be piloting a special paint scheme, which will be promoting WWE SummerSlam. SummerSlam will be available on Peacock on Saturday, July 30th.

The Spire Motorsports driver made the announcement on the NASCAR on NBC social channels and he cut a WWE-style promo for the paint scheme and the upcoming Summer Slam show.

The No. 7 car will feature Roman Reigns and Brock Lesnar on the hood, the two World Wrestling Entertainment superstars will battle in a Last Man Standing match for the Undisputed WWE Universal Championship.

LaJoie has had a decent 2022 NASCAR Cup Series campaign. In addition to his battle with Chase Elliott for the win at Atlanta, which ended with LaJoie crashing on the final lap of the race, LaJoie also has a top-five finish (the first of his career), which also came at Atlanta Motor Speedway in the spring.

The North Carolina-native has made nine-career NASCAR Cup Series starts at the 2.5-mile triangular Pocono Raceway and his best finish at the track was a 21st-place effort in 2020.
