2020 NASCAR Cup Series champion Chase Elliott will not make it to the A-Main of Saturday Night’s 2022 Chili Bowl Nationals, having a MASSIVE flip in the F-Main, eliminating him from competition for the remainder of the evening.

Elliott was running at the tail-end of the top-10 and was attempting to make moves on the outside, in order to get into the top-six and advance into the E-Main. The Hendrick Motorsports driver was able to emerge from his AShoc entry after his car was rolled over.

“I’m fine,” Elliott told FloRacing after the accident. “Those guys kind of checked up and.. jumped a wheel and went for a ride. Feel good. We’ll try again and hopefully be better next year.”

Some time after the incident, FloRacing posted an incredible video of the flip in slow motion. To see the wild slow motion video, click here:

Logan Seavy went on to capture the victory in the first F-Main of the evening, with Derek Hagar, JJ Yeley, Steven Shebester, and Ben Worth advancing into the E-Main. Elliott, on the other hand, will not see his trip through the ‘Alphabet Soup’ continue.
