Spencer Boyd will add RimTyme as a primary sponsor of his No. 12 Young’s Motorsports truck for seven races in 2022.

Spencer Boyd has announced that RimTyme, who sponsored him in the Charlotte Roval NASCAR Xfinity Series race in 2021, will jump on board his No. 12 Young’s Motorsports Chevrolet Silverado in the 2022 NASCAR Camping World Truck Series season as primary sponsor.

The deal will include the company being the primary sponsor in seven of the 23 races on the Truck Series schedule for the 26-year old driver, including the season-opening event at Daytona International Speedway.

“RimTyme has stepped up in a big way with this partnership,” said Boyd. “They saw some great growth in many of their stores following the Roval race we did together last year so they want to expand their reach. We even overlayed a map of their stores with NASCAR tracks which shows RimTyme is in racing’s backyard. I’m personally grateful for the opportunity to represent this company and all the employees they have working as my extended pit crew.”

According to a press release, RimTyme will serve as the anchor sponsor for Boyd’s Truck Series program this year and the company will also ride on the No. 12 machine as an associate sponsor for the remaining balance of the schedule.

For RimTyme, the chance to partner with Boyd, a former winner in the NASCAR Camping World Truck Series, came at the perfect time, as the brand is in the middle of expansion across the country.

The company will launch a new incentive for customers when Boyd, who drives the No. 12 truck, finishes inside the top-12 of a NASCAR Camping World Truck Series event.

“We’re excited,” Brock Roberts of RimTyme explained. “This partnership with Spencer is coming at a pivotal point as we expand our RimTyme footprint. We are continually adding stores brand-wide, now with 37 locations that have experts to help guide NASCAR fans to the right wheel and tire package for their vehicles. We’ll also be launching a new promotion that when Spencer finishes 12th place or higher in a race, we will give customers $212 off a new rim and tire package at select locations. We can’t wait for Daytona!”

Boyd, who has spent the last three seasons in the No. 20 Young’s Motorsports truck, announced a move to the No. 12 truck on January 7th.

The No. 12 team took a dramatic victory in the fall race at Talladega Superspeedway with Tate Fogleman behind the wheel last season. Boyd, a native of Missouri, is ready to contend for his second-career victory with the team in 2022.
