Video: Dale Earnhardt Jr., Josh Williams Make Contact a Couple of Times Early at Richmond

Dale Earnhardt Jr., the cagey veteran making his once-a-year start in the NASCAR Xfinity Series, and Josh Williams, an underdog racer, were locked up in a battle for 18th-spot leading up to the lap 35 competition caution in the Go Bowling 250 at Richmond Raceway.

Earnhardt, who started 30th, was trying everything he could to get around Williams, who drives for DGM Racing, but even with a couple of taps, it was to no avail for Earnhardt.

Here is the first time the two made contact off of turn two:

Then, on lap 34, Earnhardt made contact once again with Williams off of turn two.

Earnhardt radioed his team that he was having fun, but that he doesn’t think Williams is having very much fun. Williams was less than thrilled on his radio by the way the NASCAR Hall of Famer had been running him:
