Austin Cindric will once again drive a No. 22 Carquest Auto Parts Ford Mustang during the 2021 NASCAR Xfinity Series season. Team Penske announced an extension with the auto part retailer on Thursday.

The deal will be a three-race primary sponsorship, which will kickoff this weekend in the Alsco Uniforms 300 at Las Vegas Motor Speedway.

Cindric is beaming to be boldly showcasing the red, white and blue colors of Carquest again this season.

“Carquest has such a rich history in NASCAR, and I’m proud to represent the brand and its independent owners this season,” said Cindric. “We look forward to having the Carquest red, white and blue on our Ford Mustang at three exciting tracks this year. Our team is more motivated than ever to get Carquest to victory lane in 2021.”

For Carquest, the opportunity to work alongside Roger Penske and Cindric, who they regard as one of the brightest stars in racing, was an opportunity too good to pass up.

“This is a spectacular opportunity for Carquest to partner with Team Penske and Austin Cindric, who is one of the brightest stars in racing,” said Junior Word, division president, Carquest North America. “Our Carquest independent owners closely identify with Team Penske’s long-standing commitment to excellence. Austin is already off to a great start this season, and we are excited to follow along as Austin and his team defend the championship.”

Cindric, who is currently defending his 2020 NASCAR Xfinity Series championship, already has a win this season, which came in the season-opening race at Daytona, and he also holds the points lead over Myatt Snider. Cindric has yet to finish outside the top-five in any NXS race this season.
