After a part-time schedule in the ARCA Menards Series last season – along with a single NASCAR Camping World Truck Series start at Daytona’s Road Course — Kris Wright will move into the NASCAR Camping World Truck Series full-time in 2021, driving the No. 02 Chevrolet Silverado for Young’s Motorsports.

Driving for Chad Bryant Racing, the 26-year-old claimed three top-10s in his six ARCA Menards Series starts last season, scoring a pair of seventh-place runs at Lebanon I-44 Speedway and Kansas Speedway. Wright also scored a pair of podium finishes in the ARCA Menards Series West last season, driving for Pitts Racing at Utah Motorsports Campus.

Wright will contest the full 22-race schedule in the NASCAR Camping World Truck Series next season, which will feature an increased presence on road courses – a type of racing that Wright is acclimated to.

“I am really excited to be joining Young’s Motorsports for the 2021 NASCAR Camping World Truck Series,” Wright said. “Last year was my introduction to stock car racing and I will be applying what I have learned to this year’s competitive class. I am looking forward to a successful season with Tyler and his crew.”

Young’s Motorsports has competed in the NASCAR Camping World Truck Series since 2012, with the team’s first – and only — victory being scored by Spencer Boyd – Wright’s teammate at Young’s Motorsports — at Talladega Superspeedway

“I’m really looking forward to working with Kris this season. He’s had success in everything he’s raced and we are excited to get going in 2021,” said Tyler Young, the team’s principal.

The 2021 NASCAR Camping World Truck Series season begins on February 12th with the annual running of the NextEra Energy Resources 250 at Daytona.
