Matt DiBenedetto was the first victim of the difficult Charlotte Motor Speedway on Sunday Afternoon during qualifying for the Coca-Cola 600, slapping the wall off of turn No. 4, resulting in significant damage to the No. 21 Menard’s/FVP Ford Mustang.

Due to the significant damage on the No. 21, DiBenedetto will be required to go to a backup car for Sunday Night’s 600-mile race, relegating the fan-favorite DiBenedetto to the rear of the field to start the race.
