Harrison Burton Holds Off Hard-Charging Riley Herbst to Win at Auto Club

The NASCAR XFINITY Series at Auto Club Speedway has had a storied history of fantastic finishes over the years. The 2020 Production Alliance Group 300 will most definitley join the record books as one of the best. The Winner: Harrison Buron, the 19-year old son of NBC Analyst / NASCAR Cup Series Winner Jeff Burton.

Burton, held off his hard-charging teammate Riley Herbst in an intense mutiple-lap battle between the Joe Gibbs Racing Toyota drivers.

Burton becomes the first driver born during or after the year 2000 to visit victory lane in the NASCAR XFINTY Series, and only the second driver to ever do so in NASCAR’s National Series.

Riley Herbst was second, followed by Austin Cindric, Ryan Sieg & Justin Haley.

TobyChristie.com iRacer Anthony Alfredo, making his NASCAR XFINITY Series Debut with Richard Childress Racing in the No. 21 finished 6th.

Daniel Hemric, Ross Chastain, Jeremy Clements & Josh Williams also picked up top-ten finishes.

The Production Alliance Group 300 featured eight leaders, thirteen lead changes, and eight caution flags – six of which were for incidents, including various multi-car crashes, taking out some major players in the race.
