Four NGROTS Teams Handed L1 Penalty Friday Morning at Las Vegas

Four NASCAR Gander RV & Outdoor Truck Series teams were handed down a L1 penalty by NASCAR this morning, for technical violatins found this morning at the Las Vegas Motor Speedway. The teams that face the penalty are:

No. 26 GMS Racing (Tyler Ankrum)
No. 13 ThorSport Racing (Johnny Sauter)
No. 88 ThorSport Racing (Matt Crafton)
No. 98 ThorSport Racing (Grant Enfinger)

All four Trucks were found to have the same infraction found in Sections 20.9.3.2 in the NASCAR Rule Book, which pertains to the engine oil reservoir tank. The four teams specifically violated portion 20:20 of the rule: “Aerodynamic panels not permitted/engine oil reservoir tank mounting brackets/supports.”

All four teams will receive a 10 point deduction in the Driver & Owner Standings.

Grant Enfinger will move from 1st to 2nd in Point Standings.
Tyler Ankrum will move from 10th to 20th in Point Standings.
Johnny Sauter will move from 3rd to 9th in Point Standings.
Matt Crafton will move from 18th to 22nd in Point Standings.
