Gus Dean will not return to Young’s Motorsports for the 2020 NASCAR Gander RV & Outdoors Truck Series season, but he has found a ride for Daytona International Speedway — at least.
Dean announced on Twitter on Tuesday, that he’ll run the No. 56 truck for Timmy Hill’s Hill Motorsports race team.
Leaving for @DISupdates Thursday and hope to do a little more of this with my @WinTronRacing guys on Saturday during the @ARCA_Racing race.
Can’t wait to get into that @NASCAR_Trucks too with @TimmyHillRacer next week too!

Hill, who has raced Dean for years on their path to NASCAR, confirmed the news in a response to Dean’s Tweet.
Grew up racing with @gusdean in the Allison Legacy Series. Gus ran the #56 back then, really cool to work together and have him behind the #56 in the @NASCAR_Trucks at Daytona! https://t.co/vUE9laAtS2

Dean, 25, finished 15th in the 2019 NASCAR Truck Series point standings (his rookie season) and he has a career-best finish of 13th, which came at Michigan last year.
