Joey Logano will get his first crack at driving NASCAR’s Next Gen car next weekend at ISM Raceway, according to NASCAR. Logano will be the only driver on hand for a two-day test session of the new car, which will debut in 2021.

Logano’s test will take place on Monday December 9th and Tuesday December 10th.

On Tuesday’s edition of SiriusXM NASCAR Radio’s program “Tradin’ Paint” Logano talked about the upcoming test.

“That will be kind of fun with the Next Gen car, that will be an interesting test to kind of see how that car’s going to be and what it’s like,” Logano said.

Logano will become the second NASCAR Cup Series driver to be given an opportunity to drive the planned Next Gen car. Austin Dillon conducted a two-day test of the vehicle at Richmond back in October.
