Video: Justin Allgaier Goes for a Spin in Stage 1 at Chicago

It’s been a strange season so far for Justin Allgaier. After winning five races a season ago, Allgaier is winless through 14 races in 2019. Saturday at Chicagoland Speedway, Allgaier had moved to second place early in Stage 1 when all of a sudden his No. 7 Chevrolet Camaro SS kicked sideways and spun out.

As a result, Allgaier slipped from second to 31st. In the process, Allgaier flat-spotted his tires so he had to come to pit road to change them. This leaves Allgaier and his team a set short compared to the field for the remainder of the event. Teams only have five sets of tires in Saturday’s Camping World 300.

Luckily though, Allgaier avoided damage to his car as he slid through the infield grass.
