Jeffrey Earnhardt has truly been showing that he belongs in NASCAR this season. He showcased incredible speed in two starts with Joe Gibbs Racing at Daytona and Atlanta and he continued the trend this week with the brand new Xtreme Concepts, Inc. Racing team.

Motorsports Tribune’s Seth Eggert had an excellent breakdown of Earnhardt’s race here

In the breakdown Earnhardt — who ran around 15th most of the day, explained how his day turned around.

“We kept making changes all day that would get the car better and then we’d go a little too much,” Earnhardt explained. “We were just trying to find that happy medium and see where exactly the car wanted to be. We just got a little too free on that last restart. I feel like we probably could have got a couple more spots if we were a little bit tighter.”
