Kyle Larson is out West in New Mexico driving in the Wild West Shootout at Vado Speedway Park. And on Friday night, Larson found himself in a fierce battle with Bobby Pierce for the win in Heat 6.

However, with a couple of laps to go, Pierce decided to thread the needle on the lapped car of Trenton Jessen. However, Pierce made contact with Jessen, which slowed the two cars up.

As that happened, Larson had nowhere to go and got tangled up with Jessen. As the two drivers spun out, Jessen’s car dug into the dirt and went for a wild flip.

Here is video of the incident:

Pierce would go on to win Heat 6, while Larson would not finish the race due to damage.
