The zMAX CARS Tour unveiled its entry list for Saturday’s Folsom Fence Supply 250 at Orange County Speedway. Among the 32 entrants for Saturday’s event are 2008 Daytona 500 winner Ryan Newman and full-time NASCAR Craftsman Truck Series competitors Layne Riggs and Kaden Honeycutt.
Newman will be making his CARS Tour debut in Saturday’s event. As reported by FloRacing, Newman will pilot the No. 7 for Matt Piercy Racing in Saturday’s 125-lap Late Model Stock Car feature.
Newman won 18 NASCAR Cup Series races, including the 2008 Daytona 500 and the 2013 Brickyard 400. Since stepping away from full-time NASCAR competition following the 2021 season, Newman has been a regular in Modified racing. The Indiana native competes full-time on the SMART Modified Tour based in the Southeastern United States.
On April 5, Newman went to victory lane at Orange County in the SMART Modified Tour.
While Newman makes his first CARS Tour appearance, Riggs is a familiar face to CARS Tour fans and at Orange County. The 22-year-old from nearby Bahama, North Carolina cut his teeth at Orange County. His first top-five finish with the CARS Tour came at Orange County in 2016, and he also won there in 2017 in a dominant performance.
Riggs is driving for Tom Usry Racing in the hometown event, and looks forward to piloting the R&S Race Cars No. 17 and compete for a win.
“The track is five minutes from my house,” said Riggs. “It’s always good to be in front of your hometown fans and go back to your roots. It keeps me grounded and I think it’s something everyone should do. R&S Race Cars has had some strong pieces at Orange County in the past and beaten me several times, so I’m excited to drive that equipment.”
Riggs, who drives for Front Row Motorsports in the NASCAR Craftsman Truck Series, has six career CARS Tour wins, and finished second in the series’ Late Model Stock championship standings in 2020.
Kaden Honeycutt is also taking advantage of the off weekend for the NASCAR Craftsman Truck Series. Honeycutt won the zMAX CARS Tour Pro Late Model championship and the Snowball Derby at Five Flags Speedway during 2024.
The Texas native is doing double-duty on Saturday, racing in both the Late Model Stock Car and Pro Late Model divisions. Honeycutt won in the Pro Late Model last year at Orange County and in the inaugural Orange Krush 200 held at Orange County in 2024.
Honeycutt will pilot the Hettinger Racing No. 71 in the Late Model Stock division. He will reunite with Bryson Lopez Racing for the Pro Late Model feature.
Riggs and Honeycutt are currently in the top 10 in the NASCAR Craftsman Truck Series standings during the 2025 season. Riggs is currently fifth with two top-five finishes after finishing 11th at Rockingham Speedway in the Black’s Tire 200. Honeycutt is ninth in the Niece Motorsports No. 45. He moved up in the standings after a sixth-place finish at Rockingham, matching his best result this year.
Racing begins at 7 p.m. ET on Saturday, April 26 at Orange County Speedway. The green flag waves at 7 p.m. ET, with live coverage on FloRacing.
