Harvick Named Grand Marshal of ASA STARS National Tour Event at Hickory

The Appalachian Sucker Punch ASA STARS National Tour has named Kevin Harvick the grand marshal of the Ross & Witmer 255 at Hickory Motor Speedway on May 22.

The event is the fourth race of the 2025 season for the ASA STARS National Tour. It takes place on the Thursday before the Coca-Cola 600 at Charlotte Motor Speedway, an hour’s drive to the southwest from Hickory Motor Speedway.

Harvick’s son, Keelan, will be competing in the INEX Legends Cars division as part of the Ross & Witmer 255. where he claimed the win one year ago.

Kevin Harvick won the NASCAR Cup Series championship in 2014 and 60 NASCAR Cup Series events during his career. In total, Harvick amassed more than 100 wins across the three NASCAR National Series.

Harvick has made occasional appearances in Late Model competition since stepping away from full-time NASCAR competition in 2023. He has not entered an ASA STARS National Tour event to date, but did compete with the ASA Southern Super Series at Five Flags Speedway last June.

A co-owner of the zMAX CARS Tour, Harvick has also competed in CARS Tour events in recent years. He earned a runner-up finish at Kevin Harvick’s Kern Raceway in January with the Spears CARS Tour West Super Late Model Series.

The 255-lap ASA STARS National Tour Super Late Model feature headlines the proceedings at Hickory on May 22. Fans can take advantage of advance sale discounted tickets, available online for $5 off day-of pricing at bit.ly/HickoryTix.

The Ross & Witmer 255 is part of a Memorial Day Weekend doubleheader for the series. The Appalachian Sucker Punch ASA STARS National Tour contests its inaugural event at Newport Speedway in Tennessee on Saturday, May 24.

Canadian Cole Butcher won the ASA STARS National Tour event at Hickory one year ago. Butcher has won two of the first three ASA STARS National Tour events in 2025, with victories at Five Flags Speedway and Dominion Raceway.
