Brandon Jones will lead the NASCAR Xfinity Series field to the green for Saturday’s Kansas Lottery 300 at Kansas Speedway.
Jones, a two-time winner at the racetrack, secured his 13th career pole in the second-tier series with a fast lap time of 31.140 seconds (173.410mph). Taylor Gray, a teammate of Jones at Joe Gibbs Racing, will roll from the second position, with Sam Mayer and Friday’s ARCA Menards Series race-winner Brenden Queen in third and fourth. Justin Allgaier completes the top five.
William Sawalich will roll from sixth, with Connor Zilisch, Rajah Caruth, Dean Thompson, and Sheldon Creed rounding out the top-10. Dr. Patrick Staropoli will roll from 11th after an impressive qualifying run in a second entry for Sam Hunt Racing.
NASCAR Xfinity Series Playoffs drivers that will start outside the top-10 include: Jesse Love (12th), Nick Sanchez (13th), Sammy Smith (14th), Austin Hill (17th), Harrison Burton (18th), and Carson Kvapil (19th). Justin Bonsignore, driving the No. 19 Toyota GR Supra for Joe Gibbs Racing, will roll from 16th. The No. 19 is locked into the next round of the Xfinity Series Owners Playoffs via a victory at Bristol.
