Bubba Wallace was the fastest driver in single-lap speed in NASCAR Cup Series practice on Saturday at Martinsville Speedway. The driver of the No. 23 23XI Racing Toyota will be one of the favorites to score the pole position for Sunday’s Cook Out 400.

Wallace topped Ty Gibbs, who is seeking his first career win this weekend, by a thin margin of 0.016 seconds. Denny Hamlin, Chase Elliott, and Todd Gilliland rounded out the top-five fastest drivers in the practice session on Saturday at the 0.526-mile short track.
