Kaz Grala has major front-end damage to his No. 26 Toyota GR Supra, after a wheel from Blaine Perkins’ car impacted the hood of his Sam Hunt Racing car.

Seriously, what are the odds?

Kaz Grala sustained significant damage to the front end of his No. 26 Sam Hunt Racing Toyota GR Supra, in the aftermath of a nasty accident for Blaine Perkins, Dexter Stacey, and Jade Buford.

Perkins, who flipped at least six times down the back straightaway at Talladega Superspeedway, had one of the wheels from his No. 02 Chevrolet Camaro come loose, and bounce down the backstretch.

Unlucky for Grala, who was running behind both Dexter Stacey and Blaine Perkins at the time of the accident, the wheel came bouncing into the path of the No. 26 Toyota Supra and slammed the front, causing major hood damage.

However, despite the seemingly major damage caused by the wheel, Grala was able to stay on the racetrack, and even better on the lead lap, and who knows? We’ve seen more damaged cars score top-five results at Daytona and Talladega in the past.

Heading into the final stage of the race, Grala remains in a position to earn a solid finish, should things fall his way in the closing stages of the race.

  1. I think the author means “rogue.” Rouge is something I apply to my face to add some blush to my cheeks. Lol.?
