Scott Zipadelli, who joined Hattori Racing Enterprises as a crew chief for the 2017 NASCAR Camping World Truck Series season, has officially parted ways with the organization.

Zipadelli made the announcement via a statement posted to his Twitter account on Monday.

“Most good things come to an end and after six incredible seasons at HRE, it’s time for me to do something different in 2023,” Zipadelli said in the statement. “I am incredibly proud of the accomplishments our No. 16 team achieved together since 2017, and that’s a testament to the effort, dedication, and sacrifices made by each one of our team members. We couldn’t have done any of it without the support from our families during that time and sharing the successes with them made all the accomplishments even sweeter. I’m looking forward to 2023 and am excited to share those plans soon!”

In the statement, Zipadelli eluded to his 2023 plans being in place and says that the announcement will be coming soon.

Together, Zipadelli and Hattori Racing Enterprises earned 14 victories together and the pairing scored the 2018 NASCAR Camping World Truck Series championship with Brett Moffitt piloting the No. 16 Toyota Tundra.

Zipadelli is the second known departure for HRE following a lackluster 2022 campaign, which saw both of their trucks fail to make it into the Playoffs.

Chase Purdy, who drove the team’s No. 61 entry in 2022, was announced as the full-time driver of the No. 4 entry for Kyle Busch Motorsports for the 2023 NASCAR Craftsman Truck Series season.
