For the third consecutive season, Logan Bearden is set to compete in the annual NASCAR Craftsman Truck Series event at Circuit of The Americas (COTA), returning to the seat of an entry for AM Racing.

Bearden, who throughout the week serves as a mechanic for the organization’s NASCAR Craftsman Truck Series and ARCA Menards Series programs, will pilot the team’s flagship No. 22 Ford F-150 in the first road course event of the 2023 season.

“I am excited to return to AM Racing this weekend at COTA,” Bearden said in a team release. “I learned a lot in my NASCAR Craftsman Truck Series debut last year – even though we experienced some mechanical hiccups early in the race.”

The 27-year-old driver will look to qualify for Saturday’s XPEL 225 with AM Racing, something he was able to accomplish last season in a second entry for the organization, which entered the event without any owner points.

After starting from 21st place, Bearden suffered some mechanical issues on his No. 37 entry, which forced the team to retire from the race, after falling four laps off the pace, which was good enough for a finish of 28th.

“The team worked diligently to fix the track so I could get as many laps as I could under my belt,” Bearden continued. “Without a doubt, I believe that seat time will pay of this weekend and hopefully, I can contend for a top-15 finish in our No. 22 Bearden Automotive / Parker Electric Ford F-150.”

In addition to Saturday’s NASCAR Craftsman Truck Series event at COTA, Bearden is expected to pilot the No. 22 Ford F-150 in several other events throughout the season, which will be announced at a later date.

Bearden joins a driver lineup for AM Racing’s NASCAR Truck Series program which has so far included Josh Reaume and Max Gutierrez and will also include the likes of Christian Rose, who per his website, is expected to make his series debut at Kansas.

“Logan is a very methodical and talented race car driver and he is an important asset to AM Racing,” offered team principal Kevin Cywinski. “He did not get a fair shot last year. He qualified on speed and was competitive in the opening laps of the race but unfortunately experienced mechanical gremlins early in the race.

“We are glad everything worked out where he has another opportunity to not only showcase his craft but race in front of friends and family under the AM Racing banner. We believe Logan will surprise a lot of people this weekend.”
