Layne Riggs – the 2022 Advance Auto Parts Weekly Series National champion – will return to the NASCAR Camping World Truck Series at Phoenix Raceway.

Riggs, the son of long-time NASCAR veteran Scott Riggs, will make his third start of the season for Halmar Friesen Racing , piloting the No. 62 Toyota Tundra TRD Pro.

Sponsorship for the No. 62 entry will come from Infinity Communications Group and RamJack.com.

In his two prior starts in the NASCAR Truck Series, Riggs has turned the heads of many, after rebounding being a lap down to earn a top-10 finish on debut at Indianapolis Raceway Park.

Just two weeks later in his second start at Richmond Raceway, Riggs qualified an impressive fourth, before dropping back to 19th at the finish.

This season, Halmar Friesen Racing’s second entry has taken on an expanded role, attempting a total of 11 races throughout the series’ 23-race schedule.

Alongside Riggs, both Jessica Friesen and Todd Bodine have taken turns piloting the organization’s second entry, with two top-10 results thus far.
