After an impressive nine-race stint in the NASCAR Craftsman Truck Series in 2022, Kaden Honeycutt is set to compete in the series once again in the upcoming season, contesting the first six events of the season for Roper Racing Team.

Honeycutt, a native of Willow Park, Texas, will pilot the No. 04 Ford F-150 beginning with the season-opener at Daytona International Speedway, which will mark his first time competing at the 2.5-mile superspeedway.

The 19-year-old is then confirmed to return to the organization in the series’ next five events at Las Vegas, Atlanta, Circuit of The Americas (COTA), Texas, and Bristol Dirt.

In 2022, Honeycutt contested a total of nine NASCAR Craftsman Truck Series events – seven for On Point Motorsports, and two for G2G Racing. In those events, Honeycutt secured a single top-10 and three top-10 finishes, including a career-best ninth-place result in the season-finale at Phoenix.

Last year, Honeycutt also competed in the Solid Rock Carriers CARS Tour in 2022, finishing fourth place in the final point standings, despite missing a pair of events that conflicted with events in the NASCAR Craftsman Truck Series.

“I couldn’t be more excited about the opportunity with Roper Racing,” Honeycutt said. “I want to show that we can be a force to be reckoned with in the first six races and give everything I’ve got to our team and our sponsors.”

“We would love to run the entire season if we can attract some additional sponsorship to do so, Cory and I are both from Texas, so if there are any Lone Star State companies that want to make it an all-Texas 2023 season, we’d love to have some fun with that, but we’re open to anyone who wants to experience the energy, excitement, and networking opportunities that a NASCAR race weekend can bring for them. I cannot wait to get to Daytona and get the season started. I cannot thank Cory and his team enough for the opportunity.”

Roper, also a Texas native, says that the potential is definitely there for success with Honeycutt and Roper Racing Team for 2023.

“We are really pumped up to have Kaden with us for the first six races,” Roper stated. “I’ve been watching him race for a long time and have always been impressed with how he handles a race car. He showed a lot of promise last season and I believe he will be a great fit for Roper Racing and we together will proudly represent the great state of Texas as well.”

Additional sponsorship and personnel announcements for Roper Racing Team’s NASCAR Craftsman Truck Series effort will come at a later date.
