With a major overhaul to the weekend schedule at Charlotte Motor Speedway, Kyle Busch has elected to forget his driving duties in the NASCAR Xfinity Series, where he was set to make his third start of the year in the No. 10 for Kaulig Racing.

The 102-time Xfinity Series winner, who returned to the second-tier series this season with the Chevrolet-backed organization, will instead shift his focus to the Coca-Cola 600, which was rescheduled to 3:00 PM ET on Monday, due to inclement weather.

Although Busch has contested several doubleheaders throughout his NASCAR National Series career, Monday’s schedule of events – should both races run to their scheduled distances – would be the longest distance covered at one facility in a single day.

Busch, in his first season with Richard Childress Racing, will choose to focus on the longest event of the season on Monday, where he’ll look to secure his third victory of the season in the No. 8 Chevrolet Camaro.

Justin Haley, who also competes full-time in the NASCAR Cup Series, will take over driving duties of the No. 10 LA Golf Chevrolet Camaro in Monday’s Alsco Uniforms 300. The driver change will send Kaulig Racing to the rear of the field to start Monday’s event after Busch posted a qualifying time good enough to start in sixth place.

The Winimac, Indiana native will be one of two drivers running double-duty on Monday, as he looks to score another top-10 finish for his No. 31 Kaulig Racing team in the NASCAR Cup Series.

Ty Gibbs will join Haley in the double-duty club, as he competes for Joe Gibbs Racing in both the Alsco Uniforms 300 and Coca-Cola 600.
