John Hunter Nemechek Puts Down Stellar Lap for Truck Series Pole at Darlington

John Hunter Nemechek was extremely fast in practice, but his qualifying pace was next level, allowing the Kyle Busch Motorsports driver to secure the pole position ahead of Friday’s NASCAR Camping World Truck Series event at Darlington Raceway.

The Mooresville, North Carolina-native put down an incredible time in Friday’s single-truck qualifying session, posting a lap of 28.719 seconds (171.232mph), securing the pole position by over four-tenths of a second.

Ty Majeski posted the second-fastest lap of the session, with Grant Enfinger, Zane Smith, and Corey Heim rounded out the top five. Carson Hocevar, Matt Crafton, Matt DiBenedetto, Parker Kligerman and Ross Chastain rounded out the top-10.

Other notables include Christian Eckes (11th), Ryan Preece (13th), Ben Rhodes (16th), Todd Bodine (18th), Colby Howard (19th), Stewart Friesen (23rd), Hailie Deegan (25th), and Chandler Smith (28th).
