John Hunter Nemechek will compete in a pair of NASCAR Craftsman Truck Series events for TRICON Garage, piloting the No. 17 at Las Vegas and Atlanta.

John Hunter Nemechek, a full-time competitor in the NASCAR Xfinity Series for Joe Gibbs Racing, will contest a pair of NASCAR Craftsman Truck Series events for TRICON Garage, piloting the No. 17 Toyota Tundra TRD Pro at Las Vegas and Atlanta.

The 13-time NASCAR Craftsman Truck Series winner will serve as the interim driver for Taylor Gray, who is ineligible to compete in the second and third events of the season, as a result of NASCAR’s minimum age policy.

Beginning at Circuit of The Americas (COTA), Gray will take over the full-time driving duties of the entry, contesting the final 20 events of the NASCAR Craftsman Truck Series season.

Sammy Smith, Nemechek’s teammate in the NASCAR Xfinity Series, piloted the No. 17 Toyota Tundra to a 14th-place finish in the season-opener at Daytona International Speedway.

Berry’s Manufacturing will serve as the primary sponsor of Nemechek’s No. 17 Toyota Tundra TRD Pro at Las Vegas Motor Speedway. Sponsorship for Nemechek’s second event in Atlanta will be announced at a later date.
