The first official primary sponsor for the new Jesse Iwuji Motorsports team, which is a partnership between Jesse Iwuji and NFL Hall of Fame Running Back Emmitt Smith, has officially been unveiled.

EPM (Equity Prime Mortgage), an Atlanta, Georgia-based mortgage company, will serve as the primary sponsor for Iwuji in eight NASCAR Xfinity Series races for the 2022 season.

Iwuji, 34, who is an Officer in the military, being paired with an icon in the American sport’s landscape in Smith, made the decision to be partnered with Jesse Iwuji Motorsports a no brainer for EPM.

“At EPM, we are thrilled to join Jesse Iwuji and Emmitt Smith as a founding partner of the Jesse Iwuji Motorsports race team,” EPM CEO Eddy Perez said. “Jesse leads the charge with breaking barriers in NASCAR, but Jesse also leads by example with his service to the American people as an active officer in the military. We can achieve anything when we unify through collaboration.”

The official motto for EPM, which will be displayed beneath their logo on the car’s hood, is, “Empowering People More.” They will be taking that motto very literally as they empower Iwuji and Smith in their bid to open eyes as a brand new team in the NASCAR Xfinity Series garage this season.

Smith, who rushed for an NFL-record 18,355 yards over an illustrious career, states that the race team will look to inspire and empower individuals to chase after their dreams.

“We want to create a pipeline of people who have potential, but don’t have a
pathway to get there,” Smith explained. “We want to create opportunity for others.”

According to Jesse Iwuji Motorsports, the car number, manufacturer and team alliances as well as more sponsorship partners will be announced as we move closer to the start of the 2022 NASCAR Xfinity Series season.

The team will have a virtual press conference with Emmitt Smith, Jesse Iwuji and EPM’s CEO Eddy Perez on December 16th at 12PM ET.

For any inquiries, the team requests that you contact Matt Casto at matt@jesseiwujimotorsports.com.

Iwuji, a Texas-native, has made a total of 20-career starts in the NASCAR National Series ranks to date. He has made 15 starts in the NASCAR Camping World Truck Series and Iwuji has made five starts in NASCAR Xfinity Series competition.
