Add Chase Briscoe to the list of drivers competing in Saturday’s NASCAR Craftsman Truck Series event on the dirt at Bristol Motor Speedway, as the Mitchell, Indiana native will join forces with AM Racing.
Briscoe, who competes full-time in the NASCAR Cup Series for Stewart-Haas Racing, will pilot the No. 22 Ford F-150 in the series’ only dirt track event of the season. Sponsorship for the effort will come from long-time partner Production Alliance Group.

“I’m really excited for this opportunity with AM Racing and Production Alliance Group,” said Briscoe. “I always look forward to the Bristol dirt weekend and to be able to get on track twice as much and feel things out will be a lot of fun and, I hope, really beneficial. I know everyone at AM Racing has worked hard to get the truck ready and I think it’s anyone’s race when it comes to the dirt events.”
The 28-year-old driver will make his first appearance in the NASCAR Truck Series since he contested a three-race campaign for Roper Racing Team in 2021, which included a top-five result in the dirt race at Bristol.
“I got the chance to run Bristol a few years ago, and I’ve run the truck race at Knoxville, so I’ve got a good idea of how the truck itself will act on dirt,” Briscoe continued. “It’ll really just come down to how the track surface changes and whether things can stay green for long enough to make a move. I love going back to the truck series so hopefully, I’ll be able to pick up my second dirt win in a truck this weekend.”
It’s been a difficult start to the season for Briscoe in the NASCAR Cup Series, as the driver of the No. 14 Ford Mustang sits 21st in points, with only a single top-10 result through the first seven events of 2023.
Briscoe is now the fourth driver to be confirmed as running double-duty at Bristol this weekend, joining William Byron, Joey Logano, and Jonathan Davenport. Byron will partner with Kyle Busch Motorsports, Logano with ThorSport Racing, and Davenport with Spire Motorsports.
