Armani Williams, NASCAR’s first driver to be openly diagnosed on the autism spectrum, will return to NASCAR Camping World Truck Series competition this season for a multi-race deal with Reaume Brothers Racing.
Williams, 22, made his NASCAR National Series debut at World Wide Technology Raceway last season, netting a 21st-place finish, which qualified him to obtain his NASCAR speedway license.
“I’m incredibly grateful for this next chapter in my NASCAR career by making my Truck Series debut at Texas Motor Speedway next month,” said Williams. “We have been diligently working hard on sponsorship to run as many Truck Series races as we can this season and I’m thrilled to have a few races locked down with some terrific partners.”
The Detroit, Michigan-native will begin his campaign at Texas Motor Speedway (May 23), with backing from IceCOLD Technology and The Doug Flutie Foundation for Austim Inc.
IceCOLD Technology is the manufacturer of the IceCOLD synthetic catalyst, an environmentally friendly green energy efficiency product for all types of HVAC and refrigeration in residential, commercial, and industrial applications.
Doug Flutie, former NFL Quarterback, and his wife Laurie started The Doug Flutie Foundation for Autism Inc. in 1998 after their son, Dougie, was diagnosed with autism at the age of three. Their personal experience of raising a son on the autism spectrum inspired them to help others on an equally long and challenging journey.
Over its 24-year history, the Flutie Foundation has distributed over $15 million to schools and organizations that provide clinical therapies, respite services, recreational programs, social skills training, job support, and more for people affected by autism.
Following his season debut at Texas, Williams will also compete in events at Pocono Raceway (July 23) and the season-finale at Phoenix Raceway (November 4).

Williams has graduated to the NASCAR Camping World Truck Series after stints in the ARCA Menards Series, ARCA East, ARCA West, and the NASCAR Pinty’s Series.
