A stack up on a Lap 71 restart caused a 16-car pileup in Saturday’s NASCAR Xfinity Series Ambetter Health 200 at New Hampshire Motor Speedway.

A little bit of gamesmanship at the front of the field on a Lap 71 restart by race leader John Hunter Nemechek and Chandler Smith, seemingly caused a massive pileup throughout the field on Lap 71 of Saturday’s NASCAR Xfinity Series Ambetter Health 200 at New Hampshire Motor Speedway.

As the line stacked up, Parker Kligerman slammed into the back of Daniel Hemric’s No. 11 Kaulig Racing car and all hell broke loose from there.

Here is a video of the massive crash:

By the time the sheet metal was done being twisted and the smoke had cleared, 16 cars had piled into the crash on the frontstretch at the 1.058-mile speedway.

Those involved in the crash included Blaine Perkins, Mason Massey, Sam Mayer, Sheldon Creed, Justin Allgaier, Daniel Hemric, Sammy Smith, Kyle Sieg, Parker Retzlaff, Patrick Emerling, Ryan Sieg, Ryan Ellis, Parker Kligerman, Jeremy Clements, Anthony Alfredo, and Alex Labbe.

There are Playoff implications to the incident, as Kligerman was one of the three drivers who fell out of the race as a result of this incident. Kligerman came into this race within striking distance of the Playoffs cutline. This will impact his Playoffs hopes.
