Kyle Busch Chandler Smith Phoenix last lap NASCAR Xfinity Series 2023
Somehow, some way, Kyle Busch DID NOT crash the No. 10 Kaulig Racing machine on the final lap of Saturday’s NASCAR Xfinity Series race at Phoenix.

Kyle Busch was battling his Kaulig Racing teammate Chandler Smith for a top-five position on the final lap of Saturday’s NASCAR Xfinity Series United Rentals 200 at Phoenix Raceway, when things got a bit chippy.

Busch, attempting to make a move on Smith from the low side, seemed to slide into Smith and the two made contact.

The contact sent Busch nearly spinning around, and as Busch attempted to correct it, the No. 10 car caught traction. As Busch’s car went to the right, he nearly caught Smith in his crosshairs.

Here is a video of the wild last-lap action between Busch and Smith:

The incident between Smith and Busch allowed Sheldon Creed and Riley Herbst to sneak through to finish third and fourth, while Smith would hang onto a fifth-place finish.

Busch, on the other hand, was fortunate to score a ninth-place finish and even more fortunate to bring the No. 10 LA Golf Chevrolet Camaro home in one piece.
