Austin Hill Ty Gibbs spin Nashville video 2023
Austin Hill went for a spin after contact with Ty Gibbs while in a three-wide battle on Lap 9 at Nashville.

It’s going to be one of those days, isn’t it? We have had two cautions in the opening nine laps of Saturday’s NASCAR Xfinity Series Tennessee Lottery 250 at Nashville Superspeedway. The latest incident started after slight contact between Ty Gibbs and Austin Hill, who were locked in a three-wide battle with Carson Hocevar for a top-five position.

Hill went for a spin and as he was spinning across the track he contacted the left rear of Jeb Burton, who was involved in the opening crash of the race.

Here is a video of the latest incident:

Hill radioed to his team that he was frustrated by how he was raced by Gibbs. With Gibbs being a full-time NASCAR Cup competitor, you would imagine that would ramp up the emotions even more.

Following the caution for Hill’s spin, the third caution of the day came on lap 18 after an incident in Turn 4 involving Chad Chastain and Ryan Ellis.
