Christopher Bell looked to be a decent bet to secure his fourth win of the 2019 NASCAR Xfinity Series season. At the very least, he looked to be cruising to a solid top-five finish in Saturday’s Alsco 300 at Charlotte Motor Speedway. However, with a lap to go in Stage 2, Bell slammed into the outside wall.
Bell suffered a sliced tire, but stayed on track in an attempt to stay on the lead lap before the Stage break caution. Unfortunately for Bell, his tire shredded apart before he could get to pit road, which ripped the front fender on his No. 20 Toyota Supra. A fire also broke out in the right front wheel area and as a result his day was over.
