Tommy Joe Martins and his No. 44 Camaro made it to Lap 9 before an engine failure put an end to their day in Saturday’s Xfinity race at Mid-Ohio.

The failure came just a handful of laps following a caution for fellow Chevrolet driver, Noah Gragson.

The 39th place finish for Martins marks the third straight race with a DNF, after an engine failure at COTA, and a crash at Charlotte.

The Mississippi driver entered Saturday’s race 19th in the NASCAR Xfinity playoff standings.
