Talladega? How about Kaulig-Dega? The NASCAR DFS and Betting Preview for the NASCAR Xfinity Series Sparks 300 at Talladega takes aim as the playoffs continue down the stretch to determine a champion.

I don’t even know what to write about here. Kaulig continues to stink up the show at the superspeedways with their fast cars, superior drafting, and excellent teamwork. Kaulig has won 6 of the last 8 superspeedway races.

Their teamwork back at Daytona was flawless as Justin Haley won in a three-wide finish as he passed his Kaulig teammates Jeb Burton and AJ Allmendinger on the last lap of the race.

Justin Haley has won 4 of the last 6 superspeedway races, including a 2020 sweep of Talladega. I mean, seriously; where do you go from here? Can anybody beat Kaulig this weekend?

Kaulig has become the modern-day DEI of the superspeedways. If they can get a competitive fleet into the Cup Series over the next few years, lookout.

No crazy headlines coming into this race as the playoff picture is so far predictable. Josh Berry will be back in the #1 car for Michael Annett after capturing the win at Las Vegas last week.

Can Berry bring the spark back to JR Motorsports to compete with the Kaulig guys at the superspeedways? Guess we’ll have to find out.

Let’s get right into it.

NASCAR Xfinity DFS Talladega Picks for DraftKings

Justin Haley #11 Kaulig Racing Chevrolet – $10,200

The restrictor plate master, Justin Haley, is my top play for the weekend. This guy is on another level of pure dominance when it comes to this style of racing.

He is the winner of 2 of the last 3 at Daytona and 2 of the last 3 at Talladega. His winning percentage at the two tracks over the past two years is 67%.

What Haley has accomplished is truly remarkable for this day and age as competition is so stiff week in and week out. It cannot be overstated how spectacular and difficult this feat is.

Haley starts 8th and is primed to run up front early and often. Book Haley as the go-to guy this weekend.

Harrison Burton: #20 JGR Toyota – $9,600

Harrison has had quite a disappointing season for a driver who is confirmed to be racing full-time in Cup Series competition next season. No wins after a 4-win campaign in 2020 is shockingly disappointing for this crew.

In 3 starts at superspeedways this season, Harrison has finished in the Top 10 in all three starts and has an average finish of 7.3. He’s been in the mix to win in each of the three races as well.

If there’s anywhere or any time to turn it around and score that elusive win, it’s here at Talladega. I think Burton will have another strong run as a dark horse to win.

Jeffrey Earnhardt: #0 JD Motorsports Chevrolet – $5,900

Jeffrey has had a solid car at the superspeedway races this season as he has finishes of 20th and 22nd in his last two races. Jeffrey starts 31st on Saturday.

The place-differential potential is there for Earnhardt, as he’s had some solid superspeedway runs in the past. I think Earnhardt is a good value punt play that will be overlooked by many this weekend. If he avoids the wrecks, I think a Top 15 is the ceiling.

Riley Herbst: #98 SHR Ford – $8,900

The Fords have been overlooked this season at the superspeedways. Austin Cindric won the season-opener at Daytona and the Fords fielded 3 drivers in the Top 5 at Talladega earlier this season.

One of those Top 5 positions belonged to Riley Herbst, who has battled up front in each of the superspeedway races this season. He has two Top 10’s and one Top 5 along with 22 total laps led.

Herbst is someone whose back is against the wall in the playoff picture and needs a strong run on Saturday. His speed and abilities at the superspeedways are there.

Herbst starts 13th and I think is an excellent mid-tier play on Saturday and a dark horse to win. The speed will be there. If he stays out of trouble don’t be surprised if he scores a Top 5.
