Savoy Automobile Museum and Hackett Truck Sales have joined forces with Garrett Smithley and JD Motorsports for Saturday’s NASCAR Xfinity Series event at Atlanta Motor Speedway,  the organization officially announced on Friday.

Smithley, a veteran of 200-plus starts across NASCAR’s National Series, is set to run the opening four NASCAR Xfinity Series of the season in the No. 6 Chevrolet Camaro for JD Motorsports, a second entry for the Johnny Davis-owned organization.

“We are thrilled to partner with Savoy Museum and Hackett Truck Sales for the upcoming race at Atlanta Motor Speedway,” said Smithley, driver of the No. 6. “Having the support of local businesses is incredibly meaningful, especially at my home track. I am excited to represent Georgia on the track and showcase the strength of our community.”

Atlanta Motor Speedway holds a special place in the heart of Garrett Smithley, being his home track and the place where his racing journey began. In the RAPTOR King of Tough 250, Smithley will have the support of two esteemed local companies as he makes the 160th start of his Xfinity Series career.

“We are excited to be a part of Garrett Smithley’s No. 6 Xfinity Series race car for the RAPTOR King of Tough 250 at Atlanta Motor Speedway,” said Ton Shinall, Director of Development for Savoy Automobile Museum. “At Savoy, we strive to connect people to the cultural diversity of the automobile, and to have the opportunity to do so with Garrett and the passionate fans of NASCAR is truly an honor.”

Smithley and JD Motorsports will look to continue the strong momentum earned from a 16th-place finish in the United Rentals 300, as the No. 6 Chevrolet Camaro looks to continue upon a strong start to the 2024 NASCAR Xfinity Series campaign.
