Parker Chase will return to Sam Hunt Racing to pilot the team’s No. 24 Toyota Supra in select NASCAR Xfinity Series races for the 2023 season, the team announced on Thursday.

For team owner Sam Hunt, it’s an exciting day.

“I couldn’t be more excited to welcome Parker back to SHR in 2023 with a larger schedule, including circle track races,” said Sam Hunt, owner of Sam Hunt Racing. “Parker is a gritty, fun, and talented young man that really understands all sides of motorsports. Our team really enjoys working with him, and I feel he has the potential to really surprise people in 2023. This will be a big step for his career, and we are looking forward to continuing his development inside of the TRD family.”

Chase, 21, will get his 2023 NASCAR Xfinity Series schedule started in the season-opening event at Daytona International Speedway on February 18th.

The Texas native feels he is primed and ready for this shot following a year of learning behind the wheel in 2022.

“2022 was a year to get comfortable in stock cars and learn more about ovals,” said Parker Chase, driver of the No. 24 Toyota GR Supra. “I gained a lot of valuable experience on ovals, including a career-highest finish, that I’m excited to carry over to my GR Supra in a few weeks. I’ve had a great experience with the Sam Hunt Racing team in my past races, and it’s a place that feels like home. I’m looking forward to building on what we’ve created so far.”

During the 2022 season, Chase ran two events for Sam Hunt Racing in the NASCAR Xfinity Series with a best finish of 19th coming at Circuit of the Americas.

Chase ran a total of nine ARCA Menards Series races in 2022 as well, where he scored two top-five finishes and six top-10s.

The young racer also ran two NASCAR Craftsman Truck Series events for Kyle Busch Motorsports during the 2021 season. Chase’s best Truck Series finish to date was an 18th-place effort, again at Circuit of the Americas.

According to the release, Chase will have primary sponsorship from Ontivity, a national-scale wireless infrastructure services provider, at Daytona. Chase’s complete 2023 schedule and additional sponsorship partners will be announced at a later date.
