Logan Bearden will join forces with AM Racing to compete in Friday’s NASCAR Xfinity Series event at Bristol Motor Speedway, driving the No. 15 Ford Mustang Dark Horse at the half-mile short track.
The final race of the NASCAR Xfinity Series regular season will be Bearden’s first start for the organization, but his sixth in the second-tier series this year, having driven for multiple teams including SS-GreenLight Racing and Joey Gase Motorsports.
Bearden has a special connection with AM Racing, having made his NASCAR Craftsman Truck Series debut with the organization several years ago at Circuit of The Americas, and serving as an underneath mechanic for the team during the week.
“I’m incredibly grateful to everyone at AM Racing for this opportunity. It’s been a lot of hard work to get this opportunity, but I look forward to making the most of it,” said Bearden. “My goal will be like it is for every NASCAR Xfinity Series race I’ve competed in this year to make gains from practice to the race and race for the best finish possible. The team is coming off a top-10 finish last weekend at Watkins Glen, and I’d like to continue to add to the team’s momentum with another strong run on Friday night.”
Mullis Construction Group will serve as the primary partner of Bearden’s No. 15 Ford Mustang in the 300-lap contest on Friday. The company has the resources, expertise, and experience to provide exception construction services for all types of projects.
Jami and Angie Mullis, the company’s proud owners, are driven by their passion for construction to provide top-quality services, including renovations, custom designs, commercial makeovers, multifamily construction, and more to their clients.
“It’s always great to bring a new partner like Mullis Construction Group to the sport and, especially for a race that is super important to me,” added Bearden. “Without a doubt, there is some pressure this weekend, but I’m staying focused and ready to get to Bristol and get to work.”
The Leander, Texas-native has been known to thrive on short tracks with his Late Model experience, but with his first start at Bristol Motor Speedway ahead of him, the driver is keeping his goals pretty realistic.
“I really want to bring the AM Racing team another top-10 finish,” added Bearden. “That could happen if everything goes our way, but the goal is just to keep our No. 15 AM Racing Ford Mustang on the lead lap and be in a position to finish inside the top 15 when the checkered flag waves.”
Two-time NASCAR Cup Series champion Joey Logano has been responsible for the team’s two top-10 results this season at the Chicago Street Course and last time out at Watkins Glen International.
