While the NASCAR Craftsman Truck Series has the weekend off, series regular Lawless Alan will travel to Michigan International Speedway to contest a major milestone in his NASCAR career.

A native of Van Nuys, California, Alan will be making his NASCAR Xfinity Series debut at the two-mile speedway in Brooklyn, Michigan, partnering with AM Racing to pilot the No. 15 Ford Mustang in the Cabo Wabo 250. Alan will return to the entry at Atlanta Motor Speedway.

AutoChargIt.com will serve as the primary sponsor of the Ford Mustang Dark Horse in the August 17 event.

“I am very thankful for this opportunity to make my NASCAR Xfinity Series debut with AM Racing,” said Alan. “I believe I will have the opportunity to be competitive at Michigan with our No. 15 AUTOChargit Ford Mustang and have the chance to bring the team and our partners a strong finish on Saturday afternoon.”

The 24-year-old driver has been a mainstay in the NASCAR Craftsman Truck Series since 2021 and currently competes full-time in the No. 33 Ford F-150 for Reaume Brothers Racing, where he’s had a solid campaign throughout the 2024 season.

“I’ve never been to Michigan, but I’ve been taking the last weeks to prepare myself for the race weekend, whether that be with iRacing, watching prior NASCAR Xfinity Series races, or just conversing with team members at AM Racing and Reaume Brothers Racing. Undoubtedly, watching the ARCA race on Friday and asking questions will be essential for making my Xfinity Series debut successful.

“The goal is to make gains from practice to qualifying. When the green flag drops on Saturday afternoon, we need to keep making gains with our No. 15 AUTOChargit Ford Mustang and be able to bring home a top-20 finish or better.”

During the 16-race regular season in the NASCAR Truck Series, Alan has recorded three finishes inside the top-15, including a season-high 11th at Texas Motor Speedway earlier this Spring.

In 68 NASCAR Craftsman Truck Series events, Alan has recorded a single top-10 result last Fall at Talladega Superspeedway, finishing 10th.

Alan is the fourth driver to compete in the No. 15 entry for AM Racing this season, joining the likes of Hailie Deegan, Josh Berry, and two-time NASCAR Cup Series champion Joey Logano.

Deegan was scheduled to run full-time, but after being benched for the Chicago Street Race, she and AM Racing amicably parted ways, saying the goals of both parties were no longer aligned.

In the two races since the split, NASCAR Cup Series regular Josh Berry has been behind the wheel of the No. 15, scoring a best finish of 27th at Pocono. The following week, Berry was collected in a first-lap wreck at Indianapolis.

Over the last couple of years, AM Racing and Reaume Brothers Racing have had a great working relationship. Last season, the two organizations partnered to field the No. 22 Ford F-150 in the NASCAR Truck Series.

AM Racing has yet to make any further announcements regarding the No. 15 Ford Mustang driver beyond the August 17 event in Michigan. Those announcements will likely be made on a week-by-week basis.
