Seriously though, are we even that surprised about this?

In the soggy climate of Austin, Texas, Kyle Busch has claimed his 69th career pole in the NASCAR Xfinity Series, in advance of Saturday Afternoon’s Pit Boss 250 at Circuit of The Americas, piloting his No. 54 Skittles Gummies Toyota Supra to a lap of 160.765 seconds (2:40.765).

Through an interesting turn of events, Busch will be joined on the front row by the No. 07 of Ross Chastain – who has taken over the driving duties of Bobby Dotter’s Chevrolet, after an aggrivated knee injury flared up for Joe Graf Jr. this morning.

Cole Custer – driving the SS Green Light Racing | Stewart-Haas Racing | Rick Ware Racing No. 17 — will start in third-place, with Alex Labbe and Tyler Reddick rounding out the top-five. The other seven drivers that made it into the final round of qualifying include Justin Haley, AJ Allmendinger, Austin Cindric, Justin Allgaier, Harrison Burton. Jeb Burton and Kevin Harvick.

Other noteables include: Andy Lally (P13), Miguel Paludo (P15), Spencer Pumpelly (P16), Austin Dillon (P17), Brandon Jones (P19), Noah Gragson (P20), Myatt Snider (P23), Boris Said (P24), Daniel Hemric (P26), Riley Herbst (P29).

Jeffrey Earnhardt (No. 0), Jesse Little (No. 78), Kyle Weatherman (No. 47), Stephen Leicht (No. 61), Josh Williams (No. 92), Caesar Bacarella (No. 90) and Bayley Currey (No. 74) will fail to qualify for Saturday Afternoon’s Pit Boss 250 at Circuit of The Americas.
