The Kaulig Racing team has given an update. Their new primary No. 10 car is en route to Kansas Speedway on the No. 21 Richard Childress Racing team hauler, and it is expected to arrive at the track on Friday at around 8 AM ET.

Kaulig Racing has posted an update via Twitter. Both hauler drivers have been released from the hospital and are recovering at home.
The team states that they have been working through the night to prepare an additional primary car for the No. 10 team at Kansas. They thanked their technical partners at RCR for help.

According to a report from Fox Sports’ Bob Pockrass, NC State Trooper Glen Tupper stated that the incident was called in at 5:18 PM ET.
Tupper says that Barry Sheppard — the hauler driver — had a medical issue going on and lost control of the truck.
Co-driver Barry Collins tried to regain control of the truck, but was unable to do so.
Pockrass reports that no charges have been filed in the accident, and that the semi truck and trailer were totaled. At least one of the race cars inside was damaged very severely.

According to a report from foxcarolina.com, both the Kaulig Racing hauler driver and co-pilot are at Mission Hospital with serious, but not life-threatening injuries.
The North Carolina Highway Patrol, who are still investigating the incident, have concluded that the truck was traveling Westbound on I-40 on Wednesday evening when the truck veered off the right side of the road near mile marker 93 and crashed through a guardrail. The truck and trailed became disconnected and the trailer flipped onto its side.
This is not the kind of news anyone wants to see, but it appears as though the NASCAR Xfinity Series Kaulig Racing No. 10 hauler has been involved in a serious accident on their way to Kansas Speedway for this weekend’s Kansas Lottery 300.

Kaulig Racing’s team president Chris Rice released a statement on the accident Wednesday night:
“While on the way to Kansas Speedway, the No. 10 Kaulig Racing transporter was involved in an unfortunate incident along I-40. Both out hauler drivers are alert and have been transported to the hospital for further evaluation. As planned, our team will field two entries and compete for the win.”
The team has said that further updates will come as they are available.
