Derek Kraus, who will contest Friday’s NASCAR Xfinity Series Food City 300 at Bristol Motor Speedway in the No. 11 entry for Kaulig Racing, will return to the team for two additional races before the end of the 2023 season.

On Tuesday, Kaulig Racing posted the remainder of the 22-year-old driver’s schedule on X, formerly known as Twitter.

Kraus will return to the No. 11 Kaulig Racing Chevrolet Camaro at Homestead-Miami Speedway on October 21st, and the season-finale at Phoenix Raceway on November 4th.

The additional races on Kraus’ schedule will bring the Wisconsin native up to a total of eight NASCAR Xfinity Series starts this season.

Kraus has impressed in his five starts so far this season, as he has notched three top-10 finishes, including a pair of eighth-place efforts at Martinsville Speedway and this past weekend at Kansas Speedway. Prior to 2023, Kraus had never competed in the NASCAR Xfinity Series ranks.

The post from Kaulig Racing adds intrigue as to who will be behind the wheel for the team in the remaining four events of the NASCAR Xfinity Series season (Texas, Las Vegas, Martinsville, and the Charlotte Roval).

Daniel Hemric had been piloting the No. 11 Kaulig Racing entry this season but was moved to the team’s No. 10 entry last week. The team moved Hemric to the No. 11 to give them the best chance at chasing the NASCAR Xfinity Series Owner’s Championship with the No. 10 car, while Hemric continues to battle for the NASCAR Xfinity Series driver championship.

Throughout the 2023 campaign, the No. 10 entry was fielded with a rotating cast of characters largely involving NASCAR Cup Series stars such as Kyle Busch, AJ Allmendinger, Justin Haley, and Austin Dillon. However, NASCAR Cup Series competitors are unable to compete in NASCAR Xfinity Series Playoff events.
