Things are shaping up well for JR Motorsports, which looks to defend its championship with Justin Allgaier in 2025. On Friday morning, the team announced the full crew chief lineup for its five-car organization.

Andrew Overstreet, who served as the crew chief for the part-time No. 88 JR Motorsports Chevrolet in 2024, will move to the No. 1 Chevrolet in 2025 with Rookie of the Year contender Carson Kvapil. Overstreet worked with Kvapil for nine races in 2024.

There will be no changes to the No. 7 team as Jim Pohlman will reprise his role as the crew chief for defending NASCAR Xfinity Series champion Justin Allgaier.

Phillip Bell, who started the 2024 season with the No. 9 team and finished the final 10 races of the season paired with Sammy Smith and the No. 8 team, will return as the crew chief for Smith and the No. 8 car in 2025. Over the final 10 races of 2024, Bell and Smith recorded a win, two top-fives, and four top-10 finishes. They’ll look to take another step toward being bonafide championship contenders in 2025.

Cory Shea will serve as the crew chief for the part-time No. 9 entry for JR Motorsports, which on Thursday announced a nine-race partnership with Trackhouse Racing, which will place Ross Chastain (five races) and Shane van Gisbergen (four races) behind the wheel in some events this season.

And rounding out the JR Motorsports crew chief lineup is Mardy Lindley, who had served as the crew chief for Sam Mayer and the No. 1 team over the last two seasons. With Mayer departing for Haas Factory Team, Lindley has been reassigned to the No. 88 team and he will be paired with rookie phenom Connor Zilisch.

Lindley recorded a total of seven wins with Mayer over the last two seasons, and now he’ll look to do more of the same with Zilisch, one of the hottest prospects in recent NASCAR history.
