Kaulig Racing has parted ways with NASCAR Xfinity Series driver Josh Williams.

Williams, who has been with the team since the start of the 2024 season, will not continue in his role as the driver of the No. 11 Chevrolet, effective immediately.

The team announced the removal of Williams from the seat of the No. 11 entry in the form of a statement released on Wednesday afternoon.

“Kaulig Racing announced that it has parted ways with NASCAR Xfinity Series driver, Josh Williams, effective today,” the statement explained. “Kaulig Racing will field the No. 11 Chevrolet with multiple driers over the remaning 12 NASCAR Xfinity Series races. More announcements regarding the driver lineup will be forthcoming.”

Following the announcement from Kaulig Racing, Williams issued a statement of his own. Williams calls being removed from his ride prior to the end of the season a “difficult day,” for his family, friends, long-time partners and fans.

“As most of you have seen, Kaulig Racing has made the decision to release me for the remainder of the season,” Williams said in his statement. “This has been a difficult day for my family, friends, long-time partners and fans, whom I can’t thank enough for standing by my side throughout all of this. We will be back soon and looking forward to a much brighter chapter in my racing career. I wish nothing but the best for my guys on the 11 team.”

Williams has spent the last two seasons competing for Kaulig Racing in the Xfinity Series, and in 54 starts with the organization, has recorded seven top-10 finishes – including a career-best sixth-place result earlier this season at Charlotte Motor Speedway.

Last year, in his first season with Kaulig Racing, Williams finished 18th in NASCAR Xfinity Series points on the strength of four top-10 finishes and an average finish of 21.7. Through the opening 21 events of 2025, Williams has scored two top-10s and has improved his average finish to 20.0.

A native of Port Charlotte, Florida, Williams has spent the last decade competing in the NASCAR Xfinity Series, where he has made a total of 240 starts for multiple organizations, such as DGM Racing, BJ McLeod Motorsports, and now Kaulig Racing.

In his time with Kaulig Racing, Williams also got the opportunity to compete in three NASCAR Cup Series events (two points-paying and one exhibition event) for Kaulig Racing, where he scored a best finish of 27th at Martinsville Speedway in Spring 2024.

At this time, it is unknown who will get behind the wheel of the Kaulig Racing No. 11 for Saturday’s NASCAR Xfinity Series event at Iowa Speedway, or for the remainder of the 2025 NASCAR Xfinity Series campaign.
