Josh Williams, who was ousted from his full-time NASCAR Xfinity Series ride at Kaulig Racing a few weeks ago, will return to the series next weekend at Daytona International Speedway as he’ll kick off a four-race driving deal with Alpha Prime Racing in the Wawa 250 Powered by Coca-Cola.

Alpha Prime Racing announced the acquisition of Williams to drive its No. 45 Chevrolet on Friday.

The remainder of the four-race schedule will include the Charlotte Motor Speedway ROVAL, Las Vegas Motor Speedway, and the season-finale at Phoenix Raceway.

Williams, 32, will have primary sponsorship from Optum. Williams is elated about the special partnerships he has accrued over the years.

“It’s real important for me to have companies that believe in me, my career, and my dedication to the hospital tour,” Williams said. “Alloy Employer Services has been behind me for years and having Optum join the program is another reminder that what we’re doing matters. This has been a trying time for my family, me and my fans, and the support throughout the garage and my partners has been a bright spot. I’m looking forward to representing Optum at races throughout the year as well as on the Josh Williams Hospital Tour.”

Additionally, Optum will also partner with Alloy Employer Services as a sponsor for the Josh Williams Hospital Tour.

“We’re thrilled that Optum Health has come on board as an official sponsor of Josh Williams, in partnership with Alloy Employer Services,” said Chris Estey, CMO at Alloy Employer. “This exciting collaboration brings together Optum’s industry-leading commitment to employee well-being and Alloy’s dedication to proactive risk management, fueling Josh’s drive both on the track and in promoting employee health, safety, and wellness at workplaces across America.”

The native of Port Charlotte, Florida, has racked up 17 top-10 finishes throughout his 240-race NASCAR Xfinity Series career. The driver, who has become a fan favorite in recent years, will look to keep adding to those totals beginning with next week’s race at Daytona.
