Things are all of a sudden pretty good in Sam Mayer’s world, huh? The driver of the No. 1 JR Motorsports Chevrolet Camaro ended what had been a miserable stretch to start the 2024 NASCAR Xfinity Series season with an electrifying photo-finish win at Texas Motor Speedway this past Saturday.

Now, Mayer and his JR Motorsports team have announced the return of Huck’s Market as a primary sponsorship partner for the 2024 season.

According to a release from the team, the Huck’s colors will adorn the No. 1 machine in two races, the first of which will be at Nashville Superspeedway on June 29. The Huck’s Market machine will return to the race track on July 20 at Indianapolis Motor Speedway.

Huck’s Market served as a five-race primary sponsor for Mayer a season ago, and the company saw a best finish of second with their colors on the car, which came at the Indianapolis Motor Speedway Road Course.

This year, the road course has been flexed out on the schedule for the traditional 2.5-mile Brickyard oval.

Mayer, who sits 14th in the NASCAR Xfinity Series regular-season championship standings after the opening eight races, secured his Playoff berth with the win at Texas last weekend. Mayer is now up to five career wins in NASCAR Xfinity Series competition after topping Ryan Sieg by the second-closest margin of victory (0.002 sec.) in series history.

The 20-year-old racer won four races during a breakout 2023 NASCAR Xfinity Series campaign and carried the momentum all of the way to a Championship 4 berth. Mayer concluded the 2023 season as the third-place man in the NASCAR Xfinity Series championship standings. He’ll look to capture the title this time around.
