Greg Van Alst and long-time partner CB Fabricating will partner with SS-GreenLight Racing for the NASCAR Xfinity Series event at Indianapolis Motor Speedway, the driver announced on Tuesday.

Van Alst, who competes on a full-time basis in the ARCA Menards Series, will get behind the wheel of the No. 07 Chevrolet Camaro in the Pennzoil 250 at the historic 2.5-mile facility in Indianapolis, Indiana.

“I am beyond thrilled to be racing at the Indianapolis Motor Speedway next weekend,” said Van Alst. “The opportunity to compete at such a historic venue on the track’s oval is a dream come true, and I am fully prepared to give it my all.”

Headquartered in Anderson, Indiana, CB Fabricating offers a complete list of fabricating from design, laser cutting, CNC punching, forming, welding, powder coating, and assembly.

“I am truly grateful to Chris Barkdull, the owner of my long-standing marketing partner, CB Fabricating, for his unwavering support and belief in me. His decision to be a part of this historic race is a testament to our strong partnership. We are both thrilled to be heading to the race track next weekend and are committed to delivering a successful race for SS-GreenLight Racing,” Van Alst added.

Next weekend’s return to the Indianapolis Motor Speedway oval will serve as the third Xfinity Series start for Van Alst, who previously paired up with Alpha Prime Racing for a pair of events at Atlanta and New Hampshire in 2023.

“I’ve heard so many good things about Bobby (Dotter) over the years and I’m excited to be racing for him,” Van Alst mentioned. “I’d also like to thank Patrick (Emerling), the team’s primary driver, for supporting this opportunity. With a lot of support in the area, I want to have a productive race and I feel like we have taken the steps to make that happen.”

Zaki Ali, Attorney at Law, will leap from Van Alst’s ARCA program and join the NASCAR Xfinity Series entry at Indianapolis Motor Speedway as an associate partner of the organization.

“I’m so grateful to all those who have joined us for Indianapolis,” said Van Alst. “We have a few more spaces available on our car, and I’d love to add a few more local companies to our race car, which will truly make us a fan favorite. I have a feeling that the atmosphere will be explosive and the racing will be spectacular. I’d love to have more companies be a part of one of the most highly anticipated races of the weekend.”

Van Alst will be running double-duty, as he also competes in the ARCA Menards Series event just down the street at Lucas Oil Indianapolis Raceway Park.
