2018 NASCAR Truck Series Champion Brett Moffitt has had a busy start to the 2020 NASCAR Season, continuing to run full-time in the Truck Series for GMS Racing, driving the No. 23 Chevrolet Silverado, while also venturing into the NASCAR Xfinity Series for the first four races this season with start-up team Our Motorsports — who moves to the NASCAR Xfinity Series from the ARCA Menards Series for their first full-time season in 2020.
Moffitt, the 11-time NASCAR Truck Series Winner, will continue to drive for Our Motorsports in the No. 02 Chevrolet Camaro this weekend, bringing sponsor Fr8 Auctions on board as a primary marketing partner for this weekend at Atlanta Motor Speedway.
Despite Moffitt’s NASCAR Xfinity Series inexperience, he is no stranger to success at Atlanta, earning his only NASCAR Cup Series top ten driving for Michael Waltrip Racing in 2015 and then visiting victory lane three seasons later for Hattori Racing Enterprises’ No. 16 in 2018, en route to a series champonship.
Fr8 Auctions has been a personal sponsor for Brett Moffitt since his championship season with Hattori Racing Enterprises in 2018, coming on board Moffitt’s No. 16 Toyota Tundra at Chicagoland, when the team was unsure if they would even be able to make it to the race. With the help of Fr8 Auctions the team not only showed up to the racetrack, but went to victory lane in dramatic fashion, making a last-lap pass on John Hunter Nemechek to take the win.
Entering Atlanta, the No. 02 for Our Motorsports sits tied for 16th in the 2020 Owners Standings, only fifteen points back from the bubble for the Owner Playoffs (Brandonbilt No. 68). Moffitt has been able to notch three top-20 finishes for the rookie raceteam, earning a best finish of 14th at Auto Club Speedway.
You can catch Brett Moffitt, Our Motorsports and the No. 02 Fr8 Auctions Chevrolet Camaro in the NASCAR Xfinity Series EchoPark 250 on Saturday, March 14th at 4:00 PM/EST.
Moffitt will be running both legs of the NASCAR Xfinity Series, NASCAR Gander RV & Outdoors Truck Series double-header taking place on Saturday, driving the No. 23 GMS Racing Chevrolet in the NGROTS and the No. 02 Our Motorsports Chevrolet in the NXS.
