NASCAR Xfinity Series Food City 300 entry list 2023 Bristol Motor Speedway Dale Earnhardt Jr.

There are 39 cars on the preliminary entry list for 38 spots in Friday’s NASCAR Xfinity Series event at Bristol Motor Speedway, which has been dubbed the Food City 300. The race marks the 27th race of the season and the first of the series seven-race post-season.

Among those entered for Friday’s 300-lap contest is the winner from the series’ last event at Kansas Speedway, John Hunter Nemechek, who continues to chase a championship in the No. 20 Pye-Barker Fire and Safety Toyota GR Supra for Joe Gibbs Racing.

Carson Hocevar was scheduled to run Friday’s Food City 300, as part of a six-race deal with Spire Motorsports, but will not compete, after the organization elected to withdraw its No. 77 Chevrolet to allow Hocevar to focus on his Cup and Truck Series duties for this weekend.

Dale Earnhardt, Jr., a two-time champion of the NASCAR Xfinity Series, will return to the series for his first of two starts in 2023, driving the No. 88 Hellmann’s Chevrolet Camaro for JR Motorsports.

Derek Kraus, in the No. 11 for Kaulig Racing, and Trevor Bayne, in the No. 19 for Joe Gibbs Racing, will also return to the second-tier series, as a continuation of their part-time schedules this season.

Other notables for Friday’s playoff-opener, include #07-Parsons, 08 Finchum, #4 Weatherman, #24 Mosack, #38 Graf, #44 Caruth, #45 Jeffrey Earnhardt, #66 Timmy Hill, and #91 Josh Bilicki
